# Partner intros for open deals: find the best-placed partner and draft the ask

Source: https://mcpforgtm.com/recipes/partner-intros-open-deals (StackMCP, independent directory of official MCP servers)

## Goal

AEs and sales leaders who want to know which partner already works with an account in their open pipeline, and want a short intro request ready to send. HubSpot can be swapped for Salesforce, Attio or Pipedrive. Crossbeam is the only listed server with account overlaps.

## Connected tools

- Crossbeam: https://mcp.crossbeam.com/mcp (setup: https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/crossbeam)
- HubSpot: https://mcp.hubspot.com (setup: https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/hubspot)

## Guardrails

- Read only in HubSpot and Crossbeam. Don't change any record.
- Write intro requests as text only. Don't send anything.
- Only include open deals.
- Show the overlap type and any shared contact for every partner you suggest. If there's no overlap, say so instead of guessing.
- Don't put deal amounts, stages or internal notes in the intro text.

## Steps

1. Find my open HubSpot deals {owned by me or in pipeline}. Show me a table with company, website domain, amount, stage and close date, sorted by amount. Don't change anything.
2. For the top {number} deals, use Crossbeam to find account overlaps and partner recommendations for each account. Tell me how many Crossbeam requests that will be before you run them.
3. For each deal, pick the best-placed partner and explain why: overlap type, any partner-shared contacts, and a second option if there is one. Say 'no overlap' where there isn't one.
4. For each deal with a partner, draft a short intro request to my contact at that partner. Give me the text only. Leave out amounts, stages and internal notes.

## Expected output

Intro requests for two open deals (text only, nothing sent). Example (all names fictional):

```
Deal: Fernhill Software (fictional), $36K, Proposal, owner Alex Rivera
Best-placed partner: Brightwell Consulting (fictional). Fernhill is their customer, and they share a contact: Dana Okafor, Head of RevOps.
Why them: customer overlap plus a shared contact on the buying team. Second option: Tallow Systems (fictional), prospect overlap only.
Draft intro request (to your contact at Brightwell):
Hi Morgan, we're in a proposal with Fernhill Software for our forecasting product. I see they're a customer of yours and that you work with Dana Okafor. Would you be open to a quick intro, or to sharing how they run their pipeline review? Happy to return the favor on any of your open deals.
---
Deal: Larkspur Freightworks (fictional), $18K, Discovery, owner Jordan
Best-placed partner: none. Crossbeam shows no partner overlap for this account.
Run summary: 10 open deals read, 6 with at least one partner overlap, 4 drafts written. No records were changed and nothing was sent.
```

## Watch for

- Wrong company matched in Crossbeam: The HubSpot company name and the Crossbeam account may differ (a subsidiary, an old name). Look up each account by domain, show the matched account next to the HubSpot company, and skip anything you can't match exactly.
- Weak overlap presented as a strong one: A partner who only has the account as a prospect can't do much for you. Show the overlap type for every partner (customer, open opportunity, prospect) and any shared contact, and rank on that, not on the number of partners.
- Sharing what you shouldn't with the partner: Deal amount, stage and internal notes don't belong in a partner email. Read each draft and remove anything your partner agreement doesn't let you share.
- Credits run out mid-quarter: Running every deal every week uses up a shared annual balance. Start with your top 10 open deals by amount, and only rerun deals that changed.
