# Single-threaded deal alert: find the missing signers and draft multi-threading intros

Source: https://mcpforgtm.com/recipes/single-threaded-deal-alert (StackMCP, independent directory of official MCP servers)

## Goal

AEs and sales leaders who want to catch open deals that hang on one contact, before a reorg or a quiet champion stalls them. It compares each deal's contacts with the people who usually sign (finance, security, an exec sponsor), finds who is missing, and drafts intro emails as text. HubSpot can be swapped for Salesforce, Attio or Pipedrive, and ZoomInfo for Cognism or Apollo.

## Connected tools

- HubSpot: https://mcp.hubspot.com (setup: https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/hubspot)
- ZoomInfo: https://mcp.zoominfo.com/mcp (setup: https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/zoominfo)

## Guardrails

- Read only. Don't change any HubSpot record.
- Use free ZoomInfo search first. Enrich contacts only after I approve, and tell me the count and that it uses credits first.
- Check the HubSpot company's contacts before calling a role missing.
- Write intro emails as text only. Never send email.
- Mark any title you can't map clearly to finance, security or exec sponsor as "check".

## Steps

1. Find my open deals in HubSpot in {stages} closing before {date}. For each deal, list the associated contacts and their job titles. Map each one to finance, security, exec sponsor, champion or other. Don't change any records.
2. For each deal, tell me which of finance, security and exec sponsor are missing. Before calling a role missing, check the other contacts on the HubSpot company record. Show a table: deal, stage, amount, contacts on deal, missing roles.
3. For the deals I pick, search ZoomInfo for people at the company with titles like {titles} for the missing roles. Use search only, no enrichment. Show name, title and department.
4. For the people I choose, enrich them in ZoomInfo to get a work email only after I approve it. Tell me how many records you'll enrich and that it uses data credits before you start.
5. Draft two kinds of email as text: a note to my champion asking for an intro to the missing people, and a short direct intro to each missing person that mentions the deal and why they'd care. Don't send anything.

## Expected output

Signer gaps on open deals, ZoomInfo matches and one intro draft. Example (all names fictional):

```
Open deals over $25k closing this quarter: 5. Single-threaded or missing a usual signer: 3.
| Deal | Stage | Contacts on deal | Missing |
|---|---|---|---|
| Quarry Lane Analytics (fictional), platform | Proposal | Sam Whitlock (Head of RevOps) | Finance, security, exec sponsor |
| Larkspur Freightworks (fictional), expansion | Negotiation | Dana Okafor (VP Ops), Alex Rivera (IT Manager) | Finance |
| Mossgate Labs (fictional), new logo | Discovery | Priya Raman (Director, Sales Ops) | Exec sponsor |
ZoomInfo search at Quarry Lane Analytics (free search, no enrichment yet):
- Lena Hoyt, VP Finance
- Marcus Bell, Director of Information Security
- Ruth Adeyemi, Chief Revenue Officer
Waiting for approval: enrich 3 contacts at Quarry Lane to get work emails. This uses ZoomInfo data credits (records your org enriched in the past 12 months are free). Nothing has been enriched yet.
Draft to Sam (text only, not sent):
Subject: Who else should see the proposal?
Hi Sam,
Thanks for pushing the proposal forward. Teams your size usually loop in finance and security before signing, and it goes faster when they see it early.
Would you be open to a short intro to Lena Hoyt and Marcus Bell? I can send a one-page summary for each so it's quick for them.
Draft to Lena Hoyt (text only, not sent):
Subject: Quarry Lane and the RevOps proposal
Hi Lena,
Sam Whitlock and I have been working on a forecasting proposal for your RevOps team. Finance usually has questions on cost and payback, so I'd like to answer them before anything reaches you for signature. Would 20 minutes next week work?
## Watch for
- Titles that don't map to a signer role: "Head of Platform" may or may not own security. Show the title next to the role you matched it to, and mark anything unsure as "check" instead of counting it as covered.
- Contacts that exist but aren't on the deal: The CFO may be in HubSpot on the company record but not associated with the deal. Check company contacts before calling a role missing, and before spending credits on ZoomInfo.
- Credits spent on people you won't contact: Run the free ZoomInfo search first and enrich only the 1 or 2 people per deal you picked. Show the count and that it uses data credits before you approve.
- Going around the champion: A cold note to the CFO can upset the person who brought you in. Draft the ask to your champion first, and only draft direct notes where you've decided that's right.
