# Prompt packs

Copy-paste prompts for one job at a time, for an assistant connected to your sales tools. Each prompt lists the tools it needs and what they can do, taken from their listings. A prompt that changes data shows you the change first and waits for your yes.

## Prospecting and research: prompt pack

Prompts for the work before first contact: learn about an account, find the right people and check whether they're already in your CRM. Adding people to a sequence can start automatic emails, so that prompt waits for your yes.

Online: https://mcpforgtm.com/toolkit/prompts/prospecting-and-research

For: SDRs, AEs

### How to use a prompt

1. Connect the tools the prompt needs. Each one links to its listing and setup steps.
2. Copy the prompt into Claude, ChatGPT or another assistant, and replace the text in [brackets].
3. Read what comes back. Before you say yes to a change, go through the points under "Before you approve".

- Your CRM (any one of): HubSpot, uses "CRM search (read only)" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/hubspot); Salesforce, uses "SOQL query (soqlQuery) and SOSL search (find)" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/salesforce); Pipedrive, uses "organizations", "deals", "activities" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/pipedrive); Attio, uses "records search (read only)" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/attio)

Research [company name] ([company website]).

1. Use web research to find what they sell, who they sell to, roughly how big they are, and any news from the last [90] days. Give a source and date for each fact.
2. Check my CRM for the company: the owner, any open deals and recent activity.
3. Finish with two or three reasons they might care about [what we sell] now, each tied to a fact above.

If you can't find something, say so. Don't guess. Read only: don't change anything in my tools.

List each event under its account, with the date and source link. Check that each source is about the right company by matching the website domain. Put accounts with no news at the bottom, marked "nothing found". Read only: don't change anything in my tools.
```
Then answer plainly: is anyone working this account right now? List any records that look like duplicates. Read only: don't change anything in my tools.
```

2. Check my CRM for each person and mark who's already a contact.
3. Show a table with these columns: name, title, in CRM (yes/no), why they might care.

Read only: don't change anything in my tools.

3. Show the rest in a table, with the reason each one matched.

Read only: don't change anything in my tools.
```
Full recipe: Find lookalike accounts and enrich them (https://mcpforgtm.com/recipes/lookalike-accounts-enrich)
### Opening lines for one prospect (Read only, uses credits)
Three short, specific openers you can edit and send yourself.
Tools it needs:
- A prospecting database (any one of): Apollo, uses "enrichment" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/apollo); ZoomInfo, uses "company/contact enrichment" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/zoominfo)
```text
I'm writing to [prospect name], [title] at [company name].

1. Look up their role and company in my prospecting database. Tell me how many lookups you'll run (each may use credits) and wait for my OK.
2. Search the web for something recent and specific: a company announcement, a post they wrote or a job opening on their team. Give the source.
3. Write three opening lines, each under 25 words. Each line must use one fact you found and say which fact.

Don't send anything. Show me the lines here. Read only: don't change anything in my tools.
```
Full recipe: Hiring for the problem you solve: turn job posts into first lines and a lemlist campaign (https://mcpforgtm.com/recipes/hiring-for-your-problem)
### Save my researched prospects as a list (Changes data, uses credits)
Keep the people you found in one list in your prospecting tool.
Tools it needs:
- A prospecting database (any one of): Apollo, uses "people/company search" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/apollo); ZoomInfo, uses "company/contact search" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/zoominfo)
- A prospecting database, to save a list (any one of): Apollo, uses "creates and updates lists and adds/removes records" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/apollo); ZoomInfo, uses "creates and updates audiences (lists) and their columns" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/zoominfo)
```text
Save the people we just found to a list called [list name] in my prospecting tool.

Before you save anything, show me: the list name, how many people go in, and anyone you couldn't match. Tell me how many lookups you'll run (each may use credits) and wait for my OK. Show me exactly what you'll change first, and wait for my yes before you change anything.
```
Before you approve: Check the list name, the number of people and that each person is the right match (name, title and company). In ZoomInfo, each new matched record added to an audience uses a credit.
### Add prospects to a sequence (Changes data)
Enroll the people you've checked into an existing outreach sequence.
Note: Adding someone to a sequence can start emails that send automatically, on the sequence's schedule. Check the sequence's steps before you say yes.
Tools it needs:
- Your CRM (any one of): HubSpot, uses "CRM search (read only)" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/hubspot); Salesforce, uses "SOQL query (soqlQuery) and SOSL search (find)" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/salesforce); Pipedrive, uses "persons (contacts)", "deals" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/pipedrive); Attio, uses "records search (read only)" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/attio)
- A sales engagement tool (any one of): Apollo, uses "adds and removes contacts in sequences (enrollment)" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/apollo); Outreach, uses "enrolls prospects in sequences" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/outreach)
```text
Add these people to my sequence called [sequence name]: [paste names and emails, or say "the list we just made"].

First check each person: are they a current customer or in an open deal in my CRM, or already in another sequence? Leave those people out and tell me why.

Adding someone to a sequence can start emails that send automatically, so don't enroll anyone before I say yes. Then show me the final list with the sequence name and the first send date. Don't delete any records. Show me exactly what you'll change first, and wait for my yes before you change anything.
```
Before you approve: Check the sequence name, that every person is new to outreach (not a customer, not in another sequence), and when the first step goes out. Once someone is enrolled, the sequence runs on its schedule, and that can include emails that send automatically.
_What each tool can do comes from its StackMCP listing, which links the source for each fact. Vendors change their servers, so if a step doesn't work, check the listing. The prompts are starting points: edit them to fit how your team works._
2. From the web: news about the company from the last [30] days, with sources and dates.
3. Three questions to ask, each tied to something above.
4. Risks I should know about.
If the CRM has no data for a section, write "nothing logged" instead of filling it in. Read only: don't change anything in my tools.
Quote the buyer's own words where your call recorder gives them, with the call date. Before you use Gong, tell me how many lookups you'll run (each may use credits) and wait for my OK. If an answer comes from Gong, it's a summary, not a quote: label it that way, and say which call it came from if Gong shows it. If you only find one call, say so. For each one, mark it known, partly known or unknown, and give the evidence, with its date if you have it. Before you use Gong, tell me how many lookups you'll run (each may use credits) and wait for my OK. If an answer comes from Gong, it's a summary, not a quote: label it that way, and say which call it came from if Gong shows it.
If an answer comes from Gong, it's a summary, not a quote: label it that way, and say which call it came from if Gong shows it.
For each one, write a short reply I could use and a question to understand it better. Use only what the buyer actually said. If nothing came up, say so. Read only: don't change anything in my tools.
```

```
Before you approve: Check that it's the right deal (several deals at one company is a common mix-up) and that the note doesn't include anything you wouldn't want the whole team to read.
- Your CRM, to update deals (any one of): HubSpot, uses "creates and edits CRM records (contacts, companies, deals, tickets, etc.)" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/hubspot); Salesforce, uses "creates, updates and deletes Salesforce records (platform/sobject-all server)" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/salesforce); Pipedrive, uses "creates and updates deals" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/pipedrive); Attio, uses "creates, updates, upserts and merges CRM records" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/attio)
```text
For the deals we just reviewed, prepare updates to these fields: [for example: next step, close date, stage].

Make a table with the deal, the field, the current value and the new value. Don't change any field I didn't name. Don't delete any records. Show me exactly what you'll change first, and wait for my yes before you change anything.
```
Before you approve: Check each row: the right deal, the old value and the new value. Stage and close date changes often feed reports and forecasts, so make sure they're real.
### Post a pipeline digest in Slack (Changes data)
Share the week's pipeline in a channel or a direct message.
Tools it needs:
- Your CRM (any one of): HubSpot, uses "CRM search (read only)" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/hubspot); Salesforce, uses "SOQL query (soqlQuery) and SOSL search (find)" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/salesforce); Pipedrive, uses "deals", "activities" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/pipedrive); Attio, uses "records search (read only)" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/attio)
- Slack, to post: Slack, uses "sends and schedules messages" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/slack)
```text
Make a short pipeline digest from my CRM for the last [7] days: new deals, deals that moved stage, and deals closed won and lost. Add open deals with no activity in [14] days. Include amounts and links to the records if you have them.

Then post it in Slack to [channel name or person]. Show me the exact message and where it will go, and wait for my yes before you post or send anything.
```
Before you approve: Check the channel or person, and that the numbers match your CRM. Deal amounts may be sensitive, so think about who can read that channel.
## Follow-up and email: prompt pack
Prompts for after the call: recap emails, CRM notes, tasks and nudges for deals that went quiet. Nothing here sends an email.
Online: https://mcpforgtm.com/toolkit/prompts/follow-up-and-email
For: AEs, SDRs
### How to use a prompt
1. Connect the tools the prompt needs. Each one links to its listing and setup steps.
2. Copy the prompt into Claude, ChatGPT or another assistant, and replace the text in [brackets].
3. Read what comes back. Before you say yes to a change, go through the points under "Before you approve".
### Recap email after a call (Read only)
A short recap with next steps, ready to edit in the chat.
Tools it needs:
- A call recorder with transcripts (any one of): Salesloft, uses "conversations (search, details, recording links)" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/salesloft); Granola, uses "meeting transcripts" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/granola); Fireflies, uses "transcript search & retrieval" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/fireflies); Outreach, uses "Kaia meeting search and transcripts" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/outreach)
```text
Use my call recorder to find my most recent call with [company name].

Write a follow-up email to [attendee names]: a two-line thank you and summary, the decisions we made, next steps with owners and dates, and anything I promised to send. Describe their goals in their own words. Keep it under 150 words.

Show me the email here. Don't send or save it. Read only: don't change anything in my tools.
```
Full recipe: Post-call follow-up: recap email, next steps and a CRM update (https://mcpforgtm.com/recipes/post-call-follow-up)
### Save the recap as a Gmail draft (Changes data)
Put the recap in your drafts folder so you can review and send it yourself.
Tools it needs:
- Gmail, to save a draft: Gmail, uses "creates email drafts" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/gmail)
```text
Save the recap email we just wrote as a draft in Gmail. To: [email addresses]. Subject: [subject].

Show me the recipients, subject and full text. Show me exactly what you'll change first, and wait for my yes before you change anything. Only create a draft. I'll send it myself.
```
Before you approve: Check the recipients and that every fact and date in the email matches the call. The tool only creates drafts, so nothing goes out until you send it.
Full recipe: Post-call follow-up: recap email, next steps and a CRM update (https://mcpforgtm.com/recipes/post-call-follow-up)
### Emails waiting on my reply (Read only)
Find prospect emails you haven't answered yet.
Tools it needs:
- Your email: Gmail, uses "search_threads" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/gmail)
- Your CRM (any one of): HubSpot, uses "CRM search (read only)" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/hubspot); Salesforce, uses "SOQL query (soqlQuery) and SOSL search (find)" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/salesforce); Pipedrive, uses "persons (contacts)", "deals" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/pipedrive); Attio, uses "records search (read only)" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/attio)
```text

Match each sender to an open deal in my CRM if there is one. Show a table with these columns: date, sender, company, deal and stage, and a one-line summary of what they asked for. Put deals closing soonest at the top. Read only: don't change anything in my tools.
```
Full recipe: Inbox triage: prospect emails waiting on you, matched to open deals with nudge drafts (https://mcpforgtm.com/recipes/inbox-triage-nudges)
### A nudge for a deal that went quiet (Read only)
A short, useful check-in instead of "just following up".
Tools it needs:
- Your CRM (any one of): HubSpot, uses "CRM search (read only)" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/hubspot); Salesforce, uses "SOQL query (soqlQuery) and SOSL search (find)" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/salesforce); Pipedrive, uses "deals", "activities", "notes" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/pipedrive); Attio, uses "records search (read only)" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/attio)
```text
Look at the deal [deal name] in my CRM: the last few activities, the notes and the next step.

Write three short check-in emails (under 80 words each) for [contact name]. Each one should give a reason to reply that comes from the record, like an open question or something we offered to send. Don't use "just following up" or "circling back".

Show me the drafts here. Read only: don't change anything in my tools.
```
### Log the call in my CRM (Changes data)
A clean call note on the right record.
Tools it needs:
- A call recorder with transcripts (any one of): Salesloft, uses "conversations (search, details, recording links)" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/salesloft); Granola, uses "meeting transcripts" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/granola); Fireflies, uses "transcript search & retrieval" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/fireflies); Outreach, uses "Kaia meeting search and transcripts" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/outreach)
- Your CRM, to save a note (any one of): HubSpot, uses "logs activities (calls, emails, meetings, notes, tasks)" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/hubspot); Salesforce, uses "creates, updates and deletes Salesforce records (platform/sobject-all server)" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/salesforce); Pipedrive, uses "creates and updates notes" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/pipedrive); Attio, uses "creates notes and updates note content" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/attio)
```text
Find my most recent call with [company name] in my call recorder. Write a call note with: attendees, what they need, objections, decisions and next steps with dates.

Then save it as a note on the deal [deal name] in my CRM. Show me the record and the note text. Don't delete any records. Show me exactly what you'll change first, and wait for my yes before you change anything.
```
Before you approve: Check that it's the right deal and that the note says only what was said on the call. Watch for anything private, like pricing promises, that shouldn't be on a shared record.
Full recipe: Post-call follow-up: recap email, next steps and a CRM update (https://mcpforgtm.com/recipes/post-call-follow-up)
### Turn next steps into CRM tasks (Changes data)
Each promise from the call becomes a task with a due date.
Tools it needs:
- Your CRM, to create tasks (any one of): HubSpot, uses "logs activities (calls, emails, meetings, notes, tasks)" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/hubspot); Salesforce, uses "creates, updates and deletes Salesforce records (platform/sobject-all server)" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/salesforce); Pipedrive, uses "creates and updates activities" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/pipedrive); Attio, uses "creates, updates and deletes tasks" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/attio)
```text
From the next steps we just listed, create a task in my CRM for each one I own. Give each task a clear title, a due date and the related deal [deal name].

Show me the tasks in a table with the title, due date and deal. Don't delete any records. Show me exactly what you'll change first, and wait for my yes before you change anything.
```
Before you approve: Check the due dates, the owner (you) and the related record. Skip tasks that belong to the buyer.
### Add a scheduling link to a follow-up (Changes data)
A one-time booking link for the next meeting.
Tools it needs:
- Calendly, to make a link: Calendly, uses "creates single-use scheduling links" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/calendly)
```text
Create a single-use Calendly scheduling link for my event type [event type name] so [contact name] can book our next meeting.

Tell me which event type and duration you'll use. Show me exactly what you'll change first, and wait for my yes before you change anything. Then add the link to the follow-up email we wrote.
```
Before you approve: Check the event type and its length.
Search the web for what has changed at the company since then (new leaders, funding, growth, news), with sources. If something addresses the reason we lost, write a short email to [contact name] that names it. If nothing changed, say so. Read only: don't change anything in my tools.
```

## Manager coaching: prompt pack

Prompts for sales managers: prep 1:1s, review deals and calls, and share fix-it lists with your team.

Online: https://mcpforgtm.com/toolkit/prompts/manager-coaching

For: Sales leaders

### How to use a prompt

1. Connect the tools the prompt needs. Each one links to its listing and setup steps.
2. Copy the prompt into Claude, ChatGPT or another assistant, and replace the text in [brackets].
3. Read what comes back. Before you say yes to a change, go through the points under "Before you approve".

### Prep a 1:1 with a rep (Read only, uses credits)

A 1:1 agenda from a rep's own deals: what's working, what to talk through and what to tidy in the CRM.

Note: To keep the agenda in Notion, use "Save the 1:1 agenda to Notion" in this pack after you've read it. That prompt changes data, so it shows you the page first and waits for your yes.

Tools it needs:

- Your CRM (any one of): HubSpot, uses "CRM search (read only)" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/hubspot); Salesforce, uses "SOQL query (soqlQuery) and SOSL search (find)" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/salesforce); Pipedrive, uses "deals", "activities" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/pipedrive); Attio, uses "records search (read only)" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/attio)
- Your call recorder (optional, any one of): Gong, uses "ask_deal (deal Q&A)" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/gong); Salesloft, uses "conversations (search, details, recording links)" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/salesloft); Granola, uses "meeting transcripts" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/granola); Fireflies, uses "transcript search & retrieval" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/fireflies)

```text
Prep my 1:1 with [rep name]. From my CRM, list their open deals with stage, amount, close date and last activity. Flag any with a close date in the past, no next step, or no activity in [14] days.
Take their [3] largest open deals. If a call recorder is connected, ask how the recent calls on each one went: whether a next step was agreed, who from the buyer joined, and which questions or objections came up. Say which deal each answer is about. Before you use Gong, tell me how many lookups you'll run (each may use credits) and wait for my OK. If an answer comes from Gong, it's a summary, not a quote: label it that way, and say which call it came from if Gong shows it. If no call recorder is connected, skip this and say so.
Turn it into an agenda: two things that are working, one or two things to talk through (framed as questions), the CRM cleanup list, and a blank slot for [rep name]'s own topics. Don't add talk ratios, scores or comparisons with other reps. Read only: don't change anything in my tools.
```

Full recipe: 1:1 coaching agenda: call habits from Gong and CRM cleanup for each rep, saved to Notion (https://mcpforgtm.com/recipes/coaching-1on1-agenda)

### Deal review with evidence (Read only, uses credits)

What buyers actually said on a deal, next to what the CRM says.

Tools it needs:

- Your CRM (any one of): HubSpot, uses "CRM search (read only)" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/hubspot); Salesforce, uses "SOQL query (soqlQuery) and SOSL search (find)" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/salesforce); Pipedrive, uses "deals" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/pipedrive); Attio, uses "records search (read only)" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/attio)
- Your call recorder (any one of): Gong, uses "ask_deal (deal Q&A)" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/gong); Salesloft, uses "conversations (search, details, recording links)" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/salesloft); Granola, uses "meeting transcripts" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/granola); Fireflies, uses "transcript search & retrieval" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/fireflies)

```text
Review the deal [deal name], owned by [rep name].
Compare the CRM (stage, close date, next step) with what buyers said on calls. List each place where they disagree, with the evidence. Before you use Gong, tell me how many lookups you'll run (each may use credits) and wait for my OK. If an answer comes from Gong, it's a summary, not a quote: label it that way, and say which call it came from if Gong shows it. End with three questions I can ask the rep. Read only: don't change anything in my tools.
```

Full recipe: Deal review prep: MEDDICC gap check (https://mcpforgtm.com/recipes/meddicc-gap-check)

### Coaching notes on one call (Read only)

Specific feedback on one call, with quotes.

Tools it needs:

```text
Find [rep name]'s call with [company name] on [date] and read the transcript.
Give me: how much of the call the rep talked versus listened (an estimate is fine; label it as one), the questions they asked, how they handled objections, and whether the call ended with a clear next step. Pick two things they did well and one thing to try next time, with a quote from the call for each. Read only: don't change anything in my tools.
```

### Qualification gaps across a rep's deals (Read only, uses credits)

```text
For [rep name]'s open deals over [amount], check each one for: a named economic buyer, a champion, a decision date and a known decision process. Use the CRM fields first, then check call conversations for evidence. Before you use Gong, tell me how many lookups you'll run (each may use credits) and wait for my OK. If an answer comes from Gong, it's a summary, not a quote: label it that way, and say which call it came from if Gong shows it.
Show a table with one row per deal and a column for each item: known, partly known or unknown. Read only: don't change anything in my tools.
```

Full recipe: Deal review prep: MEDDICC gap check (https://mcpforgtm.com/recipes/meddicc-gap-check)

### Win and loss themes this quarter (Read only, uses credits)

```text
List the deals closed won and closed lost in [this quarter] in my CRM, with the amount and the reason field if it's filled in.
For up to [10] of them, check call conversations for what the buyer said about why they chose us or didn't. Group the reasons into themes and count deals per theme. Quote a buyer for each theme where your call recorder gives their words. Before you use Gong, tell me how many lookups you'll run (each may use credits) and wait for my OK. If an answer comes from Gong, it's a summary, not a quote: label it that way, and say which call it came from if Gong shows it. Say how many deals had no reason or no calls to check. Read only: don't change anything in my tools.
```

```text
For each rep on my team ([rep names]), find their open deals with any of these problems: close date in the past, no next step, no activity in [14] days, or amount missing.
Group the list by rep, with the deal and the problem. Keep it short enough to read in a minute per rep. Read only: don't change anything in my tools.
```

Full recipe: CRM hygiene sweep: send each rep their own fix-it list in Slack (https://mcpforgtm.com/recipes/crm-hygiene-sweep-slack)

### Save the 1:1 agenda to Notion (Changes data)

Tools it needs:

- Notion, to save a page: Notion, uses "creates and updates pages" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/notion)

```text
Save the 1:1 agenda we just made as a new page in Notion under [page or database name], titled "1:1 with [rep name]: [date]".
Show me where the page will go and the full content. Don't change any other page. Show me exactly what you'll change first, and wait for my yes before you change anything.
```

Before you approve: Check where the page goes and who can see that part of Notion. Coaching notes are often private.

Full recipe: 1:1 coaching agenda: call habits from Gong and CRM cleanup for each rep, saved to Notion (https://mcpforgtm.com/recipes/coaching-1on1-agenda)

Tools it needs:

- Slack, to post: Slack, uses "sends and schedules messages" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/slack)

```text
Send each rep their own part of the hygiene list we just made, as a Slack direct message. Keep the tone friendly and short, and list the deals to fix.
Show me every message and who it goes to, and wait for my yes before you post or send anything.
```

Before you approve: Check each person and their message. Send direct messages, not a channel post, so nobody's list is shared with the team.

Full recipe: CRM hygiene sweep: send each rep their own fix-it list in Slack (https://mcpforgtm.com/recipes/crm-hygiene-sweep-slack)

_What each tool can do comes from its StackMCP listing, which links the source for each fact. Vendors change their servers, so if a step doesn't work, check the listing. The prompts are starting points: edit them to fit how your team works._

- Your CRM, to update deals (any one of): HubSpot, uses "creates and edits CRM records (contacts, companies, deals, tickets, etc.)" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/hubspot); Salesforce, uses "creates, updates and deletes Salesforce records (platform/sobject-all server)" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/salesforce); Pipedrive, uses "creates and updates deals" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/pipedrive); Attio, uses "creates, updates, upserts and merges CRM records" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/attio)

```text
For the deal [deal name], check my call recorder for anything that fills these empty CRM fields: [for example: decision date, budget, competitor, next step].
Make a table with the field, the current value, the proposed value and the evidence: a quote, or a summary if that's all the tool gives. Before you use Gong, tell me how many lookups you'll run (each may use credits) and wait for my OK. If an answer comes from Gong, it's a summary, not a quote: label it that way, and say which call it came from if Gong shows it. Don't delete any records. Show me exactly what you'll change first, and wait for my yes before you change anything.
```

Before you approve: You approve twice. First check the number of Gong lookups before you say OK, since they use credits. Then, before you say yes to the changes, check that each value matches what the buyer said and is still true. If the evidence is a Gong summary, open the call in Gong first. Don't replace a value someone typed in on purpose.

### Update contacts who changed jobs (Changes data, uses credits)

Fix titles, and add people who moved as new contacts at their new company.

Tools it needs:

- A prospecting database (any one of): Apollo, uses "enrichment" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/apollo); ZoomInfo, uses "company/contact enrichment" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/zoominfo)
- Your CRM (any one of): HubSpot, uses "CRM search (read only)" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/hubspot); Salesforce, uses "SOQL query (soqlQuery) and SOSL search (find)" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/salesforce); Pipedrive, uses "organizations", "persons (contacts)" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/pipedrive); Attio, uses "records search (read only)" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/attio)
- Your CRM, to update or add contacts (any one of): HubSpot, uses "creates and edits CRM records (contacts, companies, deals, tickets, etc.)" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/hubspot); Salesforce, uses "creates, updates and deletes Salesforce records (platform/sobject-all server)" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/salesforce); Pipedrive, uses "creates and updates contacts (persons) and organizations" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/pipedrive); Attio, uses "creates, updates, upserts and merges CRM records" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/attio)

```text
For the contacts we just checked whose title or company changed, propose CRM changes. If you need to look anyone up again in my prospecting database, tell me how many lookups you'll run (each may use credits) and wait for my OK.
1. Same company, new title: propose a title update on their contact.
2. New company: don't edit their old contact. Propose a new contact at the new company, and a new company record if it isn't in my CRM yet. Search my CRM by the new company's website domain first, so you don't create a duplicate.
Show a table: contact, change (update or new), field, current value, new value and where the new value came from. Don't merge any records. Don't delete any records. Show me exactly what you'll change first, and wait for my yes before you change anything.
```

Before you approve: Check that each match is the same person (same name and a matching work history), and that a new company isn't already in your CRM under a slightly different name.

### Close out deals that are really dead (Changes data)

Mark lost deals as lost, one by one, with a reason.

Tools it needs:

- Your CRM (any one of): HubSpot, uses "CRM search (read only)" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/hubspot); Salesforce, uses "SOQL query (soqlQuery) and SOSL search (find)" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/salesforce); Pipedrive, uses "deals", "activities" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/pipedrive); Attio, uses "records search (read only)" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/attio)
- Your CRM, to update deals (any one of): HubSpot, uses "creates and edits CRM records (contacts, companies, deals, tickets, etc.)" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/hubspot); Salesforce, uses "creates, updates and deletes Salesforce records (platform/sobject-all server)" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/salesforce); Pipedrive, uses "creates and updates deals" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/pipedrive); Attio, uses "creates, updates, upserts and merges CRM records" (https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/attio)

```text
Find my open deals with no activity in [60] days and a close date more than [30] days in the past.
For each one, show the last activity and its date. Then propose moving it to [closed lost stage name] with the lost reason [reason]. Do it one deal at a time. Don't delete any records. Show me exactly what you'll change first, and wait for my yes before you change anything.
```

Before you approve: Check every deal before it moves. Closing a deal changes the forecast and reports, and some teams only let a manager close deals.

_What each tool can do comes from its StackMCP listing, which links the source for each fact. Vendors change their servers, so if a step doesn't work, check the listing. The prompts are starting points: edit them to fit how your team works._
