Issue #2: 50 new servers, 55 recipes, and one HubSpot setting to check

Published: 2026-10-19 · StackMCP Issue #2 (web archive)

What broke this week

Nothing went down. Once a day we check every listed MCP server that has a public address. Since launch, every one has answered, with one exception.

Smartlead shows "Unknown" on the status page. Its server uses an older connection style that our daily check can't test, so we can't confirm it either way. That is a limit of our check, not a Smartlead outage: https://mcpforgtm.com/status/

One setting to check: HubSpot. HubSpot's guide for its Claude connector says to set the connector's write tools to "Needs Approval." With "Always allow," it can edit your CRM without asking. If you connected HubSpot before write access was available, disconnect and reconnect to get it: https://mcpforgtm.com/tools/hubspot

Recipe of the week: post-call follow-up

For: AEs who finish a call, then lose time retyping notes into a recap email and the CRM.

You get: a recap email draft and a CRM update, ready a few minutes after the call. Every next step in the email is quoted from your call notes. Nothing goes out, and nothing in the CRM changes, until you approve it.

You need: Granola for call notes, HubSpot for the CRM, and Gmail for the draft. Fireflies or Gong can stand in for Granola. Salesforce or Attio can stand in for HubSpot. No Gmail connection? Have it write the email as text and paste it into your mail app.

Four prompts:

  1. Find your last Granola meeting with the company. It lists the date, who was there, what was agreed, and the next steps, with a quote from your notes for each one.
  2. Find the deal in HubSpot. It shows the current stage, next step, and close date next to what changed on the call. It does not change anything yet.
  3. Write a short recap email: thanks, what you agreed, next steps with dates, and one open question. It uses the shared summary only, not your private notes. You read it. It saves a Gmail draft only after you approve. It never sends.
  4. After you approve, log a short call note on the deal and update the next step. It shows you the old and new values first.

Watch for: the model turning "we could" into "we will." The quote for each next step is there so you can catch that. Also check that it picked the right meeting. Recurring calls with the same company look alike.
