Connect n8n without code

n8n's docs confirm it works in Claude and ChatGPT, but there's no single public endpoint URL to paste. The vendor either lists it in the apps' connector directories (in Claude, Customize → Connectors; in ChatGPT, chatgpt.com/plugins) or gives each account its own connection URL. Follow the setup notes below, or the n8n MCP docs.

From n8n's docs: Server URL is per instance (Settings > Instance-level MCP > Connect a client), ending in /mcp-server/http. n8n 2.33.0+ has a Connect a client dialog with one-click setup for Claude.ai, Cursor and VS Code and guided steps for Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, ChatGPT and Windsurf. Claude Desktop uses Add custom connector (OAuth) or supergateway with a Bearer token. Cloud-based clients need the instance to be publicly accessible.
