Connect Influ2 without code

Influ2's docs confirm it works in Claude and ChatGPT. You don't need a terminal or a config file. Check Influ2's docs first: some vendors give you a personal URL or an API key to use in place of the plain endpoint.

Claude (web and desktop app)

If Influ2 shows up when you browse connectors in Claude, connect it from there instead. That skips steps 2 to 4.

  1. In Claude, open Customize → Connectors.
  2. Click + Add, then Add custom connector.
  3. Name it “Influ2”, paste the server URL https://mcp.influ2.com/mcp, and click Continue.
  4. Review the sign-in settings Claude detected and click Add.
  5. Click Connect and sign in to Influ2. Then ask Claude something like “What can the Influ2 connector do?”

On Team and Enterprise plans, an Owner adds the connector first under Organization settings → Connectors → Add → Custom → Web. Each person then connects it from Customize → Connectors. Free plans can add one custom connector.

ChatGPT

If Influ2 has its own plugin in ChatGPT's directory, install that instead.

  1. Go to chatgpt.com/plugins.
  2. Select +, then Add custom MCP server. If you don't see it, your plan or workspace settings may not allow custom servers, so ask your workspace admin.
  3. Enter a name and description. Under Connection, paste the server URL https://mcp.influ2.com/mcp.
  4. Set up sign-in, read the warning, and select I understand and want to continue.
  5. Select Create as a plugin. In a new chat, type @ and pick Influ2.

From Influ2's docs: Setup steps use Claude as the example. If Influ2 isn't in the connector list, a Claude admin adds a custom connector with https://mcp.influ2.com/mcp. Each user needs their own Influ2 account.Source: help.influ2.com, checked 2026-10-16

Developer setup (Claude Code, Cursor)

Add this to .mcp.json (Claude Code, project root) or ~/.cursor/mcp.json (Cursor). Remove the // comment line if your client requires strict JSON.

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "influ2": {
      "url": "https://mcp.influ2.com/mcp"
    }
  }
}
  1. Add the endpoint to your client config (above), or as a custom connector in Claude.
  2. Add your API key where the config shows the example value. Keep real keys out of shared or committed files.
  3. Test it with a prompt like: “List the tools the Influ2 MCP server exposes.”

Influ2 MCP authentication

Influ2 account sign-in with consent screen (no access key; docs don't name the protocol)

Sign in with OAuth in your client (run /mcp in Claude Code). Do it once interactively, and the client stores and refreshes the token.
