New territory ramp pack: inherited accounts, recent conversations and who has left
Salesforce + Gong + LeadIQ + Notion
Who it's for
AEs and CSMs who inherit a book of accounts and want a page per account before their first customer calls: where it stands, what was said recently, and which contacts have moved on. Salesforce can be swapped for HubSpot or Attio, Gong for Granola or Fireflies, and LeadIQ for UserGems.
What you get
Ramp pack draft: 3 of 18 inherited accounts. Sample output: every company and person in it is fictional.
Inherited from Alex Rivera: 18 accounts. Gong and LeadIQ run on the 6 you picked. Fernhill Software (fictional). Customer since 2024, renewal Mar 1, $64,000 ARR - Open opportunity: add-on for the support team, Discovery, $9,000 - Gong summary (last 90 days): 4 calls. Main topics were onboarding a new region and a slow SSO rollout. The buyer asked twice about a price hold for the renewal. - Contacts: Priya Raman (VP Ops, still there). Sam Whitlock (admin, left: now at Tidewell Robotics (fictional)). Quarry Lane Analytics (fictional). Prospect, last activity Jul 2 - Open opportunity: none. One closed-lost in June, reason 'timing'. - Gong summary: 1 call in the period, a discovery call with Dana Okafor. No follow-up recorded. - Contacts: Dana Okafor (still there). Mossgate Labs (fictional). Customer, renewal Nov 30, $21,000 ARR - Gong: no calls found for this account. Check with Alex before your first call. - Contacts: 3 of 4 tracked contacts left in the last 6 months. Single-threaded risk. LeadIQ: 9 contacts checked, 2 job changes. Profile lookups used for 4 untracked contacts after approval. Waiting for approval: create 'Ramp pack' with one child page per account under 'My territory' in Notion. Nothing has been created yet.
Time and cost
Estimate About 45–90 minutes for a book of 20 accounts, most of it reading the summaries.
Assumptions: One run over about 18 inherited accounts, with Gong and LeadIQ used on the 6 you pick.
- Salesforce: Reads only: one or two SOQL queries for the accounts, their open opportunities and contacts, and one for recent activities. Each call counts against the org's daily API request quota. Every call uses credits. No paid credits; every tool call counts against the org's daily Salesforce API request quota (one or more API calls per tool). Source: github.com, checked 2026-10-16
- Gong: One ask_account call per picked account, so about 6. Each call uses Gong credits. A generate_brief per account costs more, so it's off unless you ask. Every call uses credits. All three tools (ask_account, ask_deal, generate_brief) consume Gong credits based on the volume of calls and emails analyzed; briefs cost more per open-ended section. Same consumption as the equivalent API requests. Source: help.gong.io, checked 2026-10-16
- LeadIQ: A free credit check and job-change reads for tracked contacts, then after you approve, one profile lookup per untracked contact. Some tools use credits. Uses Universal Credits (UC) per data point returned: profile 0.1 UC, work email 1 UC, direct phone 10 UC, company firmographics 3 UC, email verification 0.1 UC. List management, saved-prospect access and CheckCredits are free; re-lookups within a year are free. Exact rates vary by plan. Source: developer.leadiq.com, checked 2026-10-16
- Notion: One search for the parent page, then one parent page and one child page per account created after you approve them. Credit use not confirmed by Notion.
Exact credit costs depend on your plan with each vendor. Check the tool pages before a large run.

Developer setup
Auth setup and mcp.json for Claude Code and Cursor
- Salesforce: Sign in with OAuth in your client (run
/mcpin Claude Code). Do it once interactively, and the client stores and refreshes the token. - Gong: Sign in with OAuth in your client (run
/mcpin Claude Code). Do it once interactively, and the client stores and refreshes the token. - LeadIQ: Sign in with OAuth in your client (run
/mcpin Claude Code). Do it once interactively, and the client stores and refreshes the token. - Notion: Sign in with OAuth in your client (run
/mcpin Claude Code). Do it once interactively, and the client stores and refreshes the token.
Put this in .mcp.json (Claude Code, project root) or ~/.cursor/mcp.json (Cursor). Swap the example keys for your own, and don't commit real ones. Remove the // comment lines if your client requires strict JSON.

Step-by-step prompts
- Use SOQL in Salesforce to find accounts where the owner is {me} or {previous_owner}. For each, show me type, ARR or open pipeline, renewal or close date, open opportunities with stage and next step, last activity date and number of contacts. Don't change any records.
- I'll pick up to {n} accounts from that table. Tell me how many Gong calls that will be, then after I approve it, use Gong ask_account once per account to summarize the last {days} days: main topics, open questions and anything the buyer asked us for. Say when Gong finds no calls.
- Check my LeadIQ credits. Then show me job changes for the tracked contacts at the picked accounts: name, old company, new company and new title. For contacts LeadIQ isn't tracking, tell me how many profile lookups it would take, and run them only after I approve it.
- Draft a ramp pack: one parent page with the account table, and one page per picked account with the Salesforce summary, the Gong summary, contacts still there and contacts who left. Show me the text, and create the pages in Notion under {parent_page} only after I approve it.
Run it on a schedule (optional)
- Run it by hand in your first week on the territory. It's a one-off pack, not a recurring report.
- Do the Salesforce step for the whole book first, then pick the accounts that matter most before any Gong or LeadIQ call, since both use credits.
- Rerun the LeadIQ job-change step a month later for the accounts you're working, to catch moves since the pack was made.
Where this goes wrong
- Credits spent on accounts you won't work. Gong and LeadIQ both use credits. Show the full Salesforce table first, ask me to pick accounts, and state how many Gong calls and LeadIQ lookups the next step will make before running it.
- 'No calls' read as 'no relationship'. Gong excludes private calls. Write 'no calls found in Gong' rather than 'no contact', and check Salesforce activities for the same account.
- A contact marked as left who only changed title. Compare the old and new company, and only mark someone as left when the company changed. Keep title changes in a separate column.
- The wrong set of accounts. Inherited accounts may not all be reassigned yet. Confirm the owner filter and the account count with your manager before running Gong or LeadIQ.
Gotchas
- Salesforce's MCP server needs admin setup: it needs Enterprise Edition or above, an admin must create an External Client App for each client, and ChatGPT needs developer mode. Ask for the read-only platform/sobject-reads server for this recipe.
- Gong needs admin setup: a Gong tech admin must first create an MCP server integration. Gong is read-only, has only ask_account, ask_deal and generate_brief, returns no raw transcripts, and excludes private calls.
- Gong charges credits on all three tools based on how many calls and emails are analyzed, and briefs cost more per open-ended section.
- LeadIQ charges Universal Credits per data point returned: a profile is 0.1 UC and a work email 1 UC. The credit check is free, and re-lookups within a year are free. Exact rates vary by plan.
- LeadIQ can export prospects to Salesforce and update existing Salesforce records when asked. This recipe doesn't, so keep that out of your prompts.
- Using HubSpot instead? HubSpot's connector covers CRM search and activities, so the account, deal and contact reads work the same way. Non-admin users need a Super Admin to approve the connector first, and LeadIQ's Salesforce export doesn't apply.
