Prospecting and research prompts
Prompts for the work before first contact: learn about an account, find the right people and check whether they're already in your CRM. Adding people to a sequence can start automatic emails, so that prompt waits for your yes.

Account snapshot in five minutes Read only
A short, sourced summary of a company before you reach out.
Tools it needs
- Web research
- Perplexity uses: “perplexity_research”
- Your CRM (any one of)
- HubSpot uses: “CRM search (read only)”
- Salesforce uses: “SOQL query (soqlQuery) and SOSL search (find)”
- Pipedrive uses: “organizations”, “deals”, “activities”
- Attio uses: “records search (read only)”
Research [company name] ([company website]). 1. Use web research to find what they sell, who they sell to, roughly how big they are, and any news from the last [90] days. Give a source and date for each fact. 2. Check my CRM for the company: the owner, any open deals and recent activity. 3. Finish with two or three reasons they might care about [what we sell] now, each tied to a fact above. If you can't find something, say so. Don't guess. Read only: don't change anything in my tools.

Trigger events for my account list Read only
Spot funding, hiring or leadership news across a short list of accounts.
Tools it needs
- Web research
- Perplexity uses: “perplexity_search”
Here are my target accounts: [paste 5 to 10 company names and websites]. For each account, search for news from the last [30] days: funding, new executives, layoffs, acquisitions, new offices or big hiring pushes. List each event under its account, with the date and source link. Check that each source is about the right company by matching the website domain. Put accounts with no news at the bottom, marked "nothing found". Read only: don't change anything in my tools.

Is this account already ours? Read only
Check the CRM before you prospect, so you don't step on a colleague's deal.
Tools it needs
- Your CRM (any one of)
- HubSpot uses: “CRM search (read only)”
- Salesforce uses: “SOQL query (soqlQuery) and SOSL search (find)”
- Pipedrive uses: “organizations”, “persons (contacts)”, “deals”, “activities”
- Attio uses: “records search (read only)”
Look up [company name] and [company website] in my CRM. Find the company record, every contact at that domain, open and closed deals, the record owner, and the last logged activity with its date. Then answer plainly: is anyone working this account right now? List any records that look like duplicates. Read only: don't change anything in my tools.
Map the buying committee Read only
Find the people who'd likely be involved in buying, and who you already know.
Tools it needs
- A prospecting database (any one of)
- Your CRM (any one of)
- HubSpot uses: “CRM search (read only)”
- Salesforce uses: “SOQL query (soqlQuery) and SOSL search (find)”
- Pipedrive uses: “persons (contacts)”
- Attio uses: “records search (read only)”
Find people at [company name] ([company website]) in these roles: [for example: VP Sales, Head of RevOps, Sales Enablement Manager]. 1. Search my prospecting database for current employees in those roles. Use people search only, not enrichment. 2. Check my CRM for each person and mark who's already a contact. 3. Show a table with these columns: name, title, in CRM (yes/no), why they might care. Read only: don't change anything in my tools.

My best customer is [customer name]. They're in [industry], have about [employee count] employees and are based in [region]. 1. Search my prospecting database for 15 to 20 companies that match on industry, size and region. Tell me how many lookups you'll run (each may use credits) and wait for my OK. 2. Check my CRM and drop any company that's already a customer or has an open deal. 3. Show the rest in a table, with the reason each one matched. Read only: don't change anything in my tools.

Opening lines for one prospect Read only Uses credits
Three short, specific openers you can edit and send yourself.
Tools it needs
- A prospecting database (any one of)
- Web research
- Perplexity uses: “perplexity_search”
I'm writing to [prospect name], [title] at [company name]. 1. Look up their role and company in my prospecting database. Tell me how many lookups you'll run (each may use credits) and wait for my OK. 2. Search the web for something recent and specific: a company announcement, a post they wrote or a job opening on their team. Give the source. 3. Write three opening lines, each under 25 words. Each line must use one fact you found and say which fact. Don't send anything. Show me the lines here. Read only: don't change anything in my tools.
Full recipe: Hiring for the problem you solve: turn job posts into first lines and a lemlist campaign
Save my researched prospects as a list Changes data Uses credits
Keep the people you found in one list in your prospecting tool.
Tools it needs
- A prospecting database (any one of)
- A prospecting database, to save a list (any one of) Changes data
Save the people we just found to a list called [list name] in my prospecting tool. Before you save anything, show me: the list name, how many people go in, and anyone you couldn't match. Tell me how many lookups you'll run (each may use credits) and wait for my OK. Show me exactly what you'll change first, and wait for my yes before you change anything.
Check the list name, the number of people and that each person is the right match (name, title and company). In ZoomInfo, each new matched record added to an audience uses a credit.
Add prospects to a sequence Changes data
Enroll the people you've checked into an existing outreach sequence.
Note: Adding someone to a sequence can start emails that send automatically, on the sequence's schedule. Check the sequence's steps before you say yes.
Tools it needs
- Your CRM (any one of)
- HubSpot uses: “CRM search (read only)”
- Salesforce uses: “SOQL query (soqlQuery) and SOSL search (find)”
- Pipedrive uses: “persons (contacts)”, “deals”
- Attio uses: “records search (read only)”
- A sales engagement tool (any one of) Changes data
Add these people to my sequence called [sequence name]: [paste names and emails, or say "the list we just made"]. First check each person: are they a current customer or in an open deal in my CRM, or already in another sequence? Leave those people out and tell me why. Adding someone to a sequence can start emails that send automatically, so don't enroll anyone before I say yes. Then show me the final list with the sequence name and the first send date. Don't delete any records. Show me exactly what you'll change first, and wait for my yes before you change anything.
Check the sequence name, that every person is new to outreach (not a customer, not in another sequence), and when the first step goes out. Once someone is enrolled, the sequence runs on its schedule, and that can include emails that send automatically.
What each tool can do comes from its StackMCP listing, which links the source for each fact. Vendors change their servers, so if a step doesn't work, check the listing. The prompts are starting points: edit them to fit how your team works.
