Skills library

A skill teaches your assistant one workflow: which tools to use, the steps, the guardrails and what the output should look like. Each skill here comes from a published recipe. Any step that changes records, sends messages or spends credits waits for your approval.

How do I install a skill?

In Claude, as a skill

  1. Download the skill's ZIP file.
  2. In Claude, open Customize → Skills.
  3. Click +, then Create skill, then Upload a skill, and choose the ZIP file.
  4. Connect the tools the skill names. Then ask for the workflow by name. Claude uses the skill when it fits.

Skills need code execution turned on (Settings → Capabilities on Free, Pro and Max). On Team and Enterprise plans, an owner can turn off user-created skills.

In a Claude or ChatGPT project

  1. Claude: go to Projects, click + New Project, then Set project instructions and paste in the instructions file.
  2. ChatGPT: select New project in the sidebar. Then open ••• → Project settings and paste in the instructions file.

Using ChatGPT or another assistant? Use the project instructions file instead. If your assistant reads skills in the SKILL.md format, it can use the file inside the ZIP as it is.

Skills are generated from the recipes, so they change when a recipe or a tool's facts change. Download again after big updates, which the changelog lists.
